Looks like Navya Nair is soon to enter marital bliss if reports from Kerala journalists is true.

Navya made her debut in Tamil movies with ‘Azhagiya Theeye.’ Since directors felt she would not suit glamour roles in addition to she also agreed with them, one can count her Tamil movies. It has been a long instance since Navya acted in a motion picture. She has turned down Tamil as well as Malayalam films without giving reasons.

Now the reason is being indicated since her parents are planning to get her married. Since call sheets would be messed up if a marriage date is fixed, Navya has not been accepting any films.

So, is it an arranged wedding or a love marriage? A wave of gossip indicates the concluding. Navya says, “It’s true I have been turning down film offers. I’m demanding with impressive important, so I took this decision. I can’t speak on the subject of that now.”

Actress Navya Nair's Marriage Fixed

Southern film actress Navya Nair’s marriage has been fixed by her family.  The groom who hails from Changanacherry is working in a multinational company in Mumbai.  Her foray into malayalam film started at the age of 16 with the movie 'Ishtam'.  She was doing her higher secondary studies when she acted in her first film.  She had 91% in S. S. L. C and have successfuly carried both her education and profession.  She has passed her M.B.A recently.  She has done more than fifty films in various south indian languages.  She has recieved Kerala state award for her perfomance in Nandanam(2002), Kanne Madanguka(2005) and for Saira (2005) respectively.  Her father Mr. Raju is a B.S.N.L officer and her mother Mrs.  Veena is a teacher.  She has a brother too.

When I came across this editorial in the January 2010 Vogue Germany, I was instantly inspired. I'd like to insert a few chic pencil skirts into my wardrobe, slip into some slimming vintage sweaters and bring more scarves into my life a la this 60s inspired shoot styled by Julia von Bohem and beautifully photographed by Horst Diekgerdes.

New lovelies are going up in the shop as we speak! From now until tomorrow I'll be editing, listing, editing, listing and so on and so forth. Let me know if you'd like me to reserve anything...There are definitely some covetable pieces in this set several of which barely escaped my own closet!

made in occupied japan

Last year I went to an surprisingly interesting estate sale for a man who had been an ambassador to Morocco in the 1950, 60s and perhaps longer. The folks running the sale told me that most of his belongings had gone off to auction, but amazingly there was still a house filled with treasures. I left with only a few pieces, one of which was a gorgeous silk scarf that was made in occupied Japan.

Honestly, I never would have guessed it was a Japanese scarf. I mean the cutesy deer pattern was quite Western in my opinion. Come to find out, Japan produced heaps of goods from 1945-1952 all tagged with the label "Made in Occupied Japan" or something quite similar, and not everything they manufactured was typically Eastern as they were largely catering to Westerners. Paradox explained!

pin curls gone awry

I've been eyeing Aya's tutorial over at Strawberry Koi on pin curls for a while now. Finally this morning I decided to put my bobby pins to work. Carelessly winding each lock of hair into a loose curl and securing with a bobby pin took about 15 minutes but I thought if I could be patient enough, it would be worth the wait.

Well needless to say, after a few hours I couldn't stand the anticipation, I took them out only to find light socket hair! I definitely couldn't wear my hair down so I threw it into a loose side bun and pinned the loose locks back. In the end, not so bad, I actually quite liked the 1920s frizzy hair look it spontaneosly turned into. I took several detailed shots of which I planned on posting so ya'll could get a good look, and then experimented a bit with long shutter speeds. The later won...
