In January (I know this post is a little late), we had a lingerie shower at my house for Alyssa. My great friend Emily from Emme B. Photography stopped by to photograph the evening…thanks so much Em! Thought you all might enjoy seeing a few of the pictures…you’ll notice that we had to use the whole house because it’s rather small!
The Living/Dining Room
…a small dessert bar on the dining table…
…simple white hydrangeas, a burlap runner and goodies from the outdoors (twigs, acorns and pinecones)…
…I love making signs (even though the message is a bit obvious since they’re getting married)…
…heart cups…
…a sweet cake by Fabulous Fare…
…yummy cake balls also by Fabulous Fare…
…plenty of candlelight…
…remembering Alyssa as a preteen…which provided plenty of smiles…
…and, of course, another sign to celebrate the occasion…
The Kitchen
…we turned my little kitchen island into a Cheesecake Bar…
The Laundry Room/Office
…we turned the laundry counter into a “hot” bar for coffee and tea…
…an old chest held the selection of tea and coffee…
…you know how I like simple white and things lined up in rows…
…we even used my desk…
…bra and panty cookie sets from Fabulous Fare…
The Studio
…we set up a “cold” bar in my former studio space…on the old stainless flower table…
…purple hydrangea and ‘Black Baccara’ roses…
…free “art” from just outside the backdoor hung above the bar…
And , of course, there were guests…
…love this…Courtney drives her point home…cake ball in hand…
Three of my favorite people in the world!
Left to right: Alyssa (the bride), Tamie (can’t tell, but she’s the mom!), Avery (Alyssa’s sister who will be getting married in May) and me!
For those of you who don’t know, I’m a dental hygienist and Tamie is the dentist I’ve worked for the last 20-something years. When Tamie and I met, Alyssa was under a year old and Avery wasn’t even born. These girls were my ‘practice children’ before I had my own! Alyssa got married last weekend and now we’re looking forward to Avery’s wedding. What a blessing to have friends who are as close as family…
Thanks, again, Emily…for being a wonderful friend and a fantastic photographer! Please check out her website when you have a chance…you’ll love it!
Happy Thursday!
