One personal note about Hanging Amaranthus…the long tassels should be plump and vivid green or red (hot pink)…occasionally I’ve received a shipment that is pale in color and appears dried out…if you run your fingers along the tassels, they should not shed all over the floor…when this happens, you know the flowers are past their prime…which irritates a floral designer…
